This side dish will go well with a good steak or fillet of fish. It takes two minutes to make and you can prep your ingredients way before time, making it a good last minute side dish for dinner parties.
Ingredients:
Snow peas or mangetout
4-5 cloves of garlic chopped fine
oil
sprinkle of rock salt
freshly ground pepper
1 tsp of sesame oil
Method:
In a frying pan, heat the oil. Then add the snow peas and garlic at the same time. I didn't add the garlic before, coz the snow peas don't require too much cooking time anyway, and i didn't want the garlic to burn. Cook for about 3 mins or so, keeping the slight bite or crunch in the snowpeas. When almost done, sprinkle with the rock salt, pepper, and sesame oil.
The sesame oil is what takes this simple dish to another level, giving it an asian touch to it.
Note: sesame oil tastes best when added at the end of cooking.
