Quick and easy and can accompany any continental dish. Mushrooms are always a favourite item on the menu so you can't go wrong with this one. My apologies again for not putting up a picture, as this dish went down too fast and by the time I remembered to get the camera, it was almost all gone.
Ingredients:
1-2 packets of button mushrooms
4-5 cloves of garlic chopped fine
herb butter or garlic butter
dried thyme
rock salt
Method:
Slice the button mushrooms in big dices. Heat some olive oil in a casserole. Add in the garlic, keeping an eye on it, as you don't want the garlic to burn. Add in the mushrooms. Keep the flame or heat on a medium to high. If you keep the heat too low, the mushrooms will start to release its natural water. Season with rock salt and a pinch or two of dried thyme. Add in a blob of your favourite seasoned butter. Lurpak makes a really nice garlic butter, which is always handy to have in your fridge. Serve warm.
